
Karen Mielke was born in England and moved to the U.S. in 1978. She
began agility training in 1998 and competes at the highest levels
of USDAA and AKC events. Karen has taught at both the Canine Capers
Agility Club in Atlanta, GA and the Shamrock Dog Training Club in
Louisville, Ky. Clicker training is one of her areas of expertise
and she especially enjoys trick training the dogs on days too hot
to do agility.
Her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Tess MX, MX J, has qualified on several occasions for the USDA Nationals.
Tag, her Border Collie competed last year in the USDAA
steeplechase semi-finals and took second place in both rounds of the
International Competition at the four day AKC trial in Louisville,
KY in 2005.
